Are blogs passe? Listening to some of the media might have you believing they are, and that you may as well jettison yours in favor of Tublr, Twitter or Facebook.
I have all of the above, and while my love of Twitter remains firm, I've decided to incorporate more blogging into my time as well. Writers need blogging, or a journal, or both, to stir up the creative juices and get the words moving. As a society, we need blogs, too, as a reminder that communication shouldn't always take place in 140 characters or less...not to mention to remind people how to construct a decent sentence. (Admittedly, my part in this last endeavor is negligible at best, given my love of run-on sentences--and the fact that when I blog, I often write exactly as I speak.)
